About the Holstein Agro Expo & Rodeo
Holstein is an agricultural community with a huge heart for community fund raising. From this dominant community spirit, came the birth of The Holstein Rodeo over 18 years ago. The Holstein Rodeo took a break, and an off shoot of the rodeo was created with The Holstein Agro Expo carrying forward the Eastern Canadian Sheep Shearing Competition. It is with great pleasure to announce, that it has been decided to bring back the nostalgic feeling of Rodeo in conjunction with the Holstein Agro Expo.
The event includes the Eastern Canadian Sheep Shearing Competition, Spinning and Weaving Demos, 2 Full Rawhide Rodeo Performances, Antique Tractor Display, Team Sorting, Kids Rodeo and new this year we have teamed up with the Egremont Optimist Club for the Antique Car show and CANADA DAY FIREWORKS IN THE PARK. Of course, we welcome our Vendors and Food Trucks! The Holstein Agro Expo & Rodeo will be held June 28 & June 29, 2024!

We are proud to support the Mount Forest Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation once again
With our SOLD OUT 2023 crowd we were able to make a generous $10,000.00 donation to the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation in memory of long time community member and founder of the International Sheep Shearing Competition. Although not feeling his best, Wayne was able to make it to our event last year and not long after that lost his battle to cancer. We will continue the event keeping Wayne’s memory in our hearts.
The mission of Foundation is as follows:
“The primary goal of the Mount Forest Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation is to meet the continuing financial challenges for quality health care. We are a charitable organization; a group of volunteers who are committed to developing, managing and distributing gifts to assist our hospital in providing excellence in health care for the local community.”
